Megan & Chad
Meghan and Chad got married on the front deck of the stunning Captain’s House in Chester, Nova Scotia!
Their laid-back October wedding was cozy, with scarves as wedding favours, hearty food for dinner, and delicious homemade pies by their family members for dessert. Their bridesmaids each wore a dress in a different fall colour, and their decor was simple yet elegant, featuring greenery and burgundy hues.
Guests mingled and danced all night long in the intricate rooms throughout the main floor of the Captain’s House, only stopping when the pizza arrived for the late-night snack — the perfect way to end the night!
Erin & Patrick
Erin and Patrick’s holiday wedding at Alderney Landing was truly a winter wonderland. With the late afternoon sun streaming through the ceiling-high windows, Erin walked down the aisle with their daughter Helena in her arms, before her and Patrick said “I do” in front of almost 100 of their friends and family members.
Celebrating their wedding the day before New Year’s Eve, their reception was adorned with poinsettias, gold accents and pretty holiday decor. Their joyful and care-free demeanour lasted throughout the whole day down to the very last song of the dance.

Justine & Don
Justine and Don’s rustic and nautical-inspired Oceanstone wedding was one to remember. While planning the wedding from Alberta, Justine and Don enlisted our services to help secure the remaining vendors and ensure everything was ready to go here in Nova Scotia when they arrived.
The wedding festivities kicked off with a lobster boil following the rehearsal — a real treat for those visiting from away. Despite heavy rain the next day, Justine, Don and their wedding party were absolute troopers and were adamant to still have their ceremony outside by the ocean. A sea of umbrellas made for unique photos, not to mention the wedding party decked out in ponchos and rain boots, bought in by the groomsmen just an hour before the ceremony.
From the photos of passed loved ones strung across her bouquet handle, to all of the signs at the wedding made by a childhood friend, their wedding day was full of special touches, and guests danced the night away.

Jackie and Tony
Jackie and Tony’s rustic valley wedding was nothing short of special.
Jackie met Tony after moving out west for work, but there was no way she could celebrate her wedding anywhere else but at her family’s cottage near Berwick, Nova Scotia, where she spent all of her summers growing up.
They tied the knot at a small church in Berwick before heading back to Jackie’s family’s cottage on the lake for the dinner and reception. Guests enjoyed the view and a buffet dinner while seated in an outdoor pavilion, built by Jackie’s father. The evening was capped off with fireworks above the lake and guests roasting s’mores.

Margie and Mark
Margie and Mark tied the knot on a beautiful September day at the Links at Penn Hills. With the beautiful rolling greens as a backdrop at their outdoor ceremony, they said “I do” with their adorable twin boys by their sides underneath an arch that Mark built. Baby’s breath lined the aisle and adorned every dinner table, along with touches of burlap and mint green lace.
Margie and Mark’s love of golf was evident all throughout the day from their golf ball table numbers and their customized golf ball favours to their golf cart adventure following the ceremony to get photos taken at their favourite holes on the course. When guests weren’t enjoying the photobooth props, they were busy on the dance floor where Margie’s cousin Jeff kept the tunes playing long into the night under the warm glow of twinkly lights and lit-up lanterns.

Christina & Jevin
Christina and Jevin brought me on board a month before their fall wedding to help finalize some of their decor pieces and organize all of the remaining details. Their ceremony took place at St. Gregory's Church in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. October 27th was unusually cold and windy, but the kindness and warmth their family and friends exuded all throughout the day made everyone forget about the weather. Christina wore a custom Katrina Tuttle gown with a cathedral-length veil while her bridesmaids donned wine-coloured gowns.
The cocktail hour and reception took place at White Point Beach Resort and featured special touches from the couple such as framed photos in memory of those that had passed and one of Jevin's guitars to sign as the guestbook. The atmosphere throughout the evening was warm and cozy with lanterns surrounded by greenery and red and black accent flowers from Humble Burdock Farms as the guest table centrepieces. There was not a dry eye in the room once the speeches got underway and everyone was quick to join the bride and groom on the dance floor following their first dance.

Nicole & Patrick
Nicole and Patrick tied the knot on July 6, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier University (STFX) in Antigonish, NS - the place they first met and fell in love. Their ceremony took place at the university chapel, and I knew from the moment I saw it during a site visit that it would be a magical spot. The white pillars at the front of the chapel pictured above paired with the brick exterior made for such a beautiful and timeless backdrop for some of their photos. In fact, when I first met them they were already talking about how they couldn’t wait to take photos on these stairs. The inside of the chapel is equally as beautiful and what a treat for guests to watch Nicole and her dad walk down the long aisle, lined with glowing lanterns.
At the reception, elegant signage (with calligraphy done by the bride herself) took centre stage along with hints of gold and dusty blue. Beautiful floral centerpieces by Twig & Twine Floristry adorned every table, and there was even a balloon wall for a photobooth! However, the true highlight of the evening was when the late night snack arrived which was pizza from The Wheel (a STFX tradition and crowd favourite), plus a tower of McDoubles - the guests could not have been happier. It was definitely a day (and night) to remember!
KRISTI AND JAMES

Kristi & James
Kristi and James’s wedding day was the perfect elevated backyard celebration! Taking place on the gorgeous property that once belonged to Kristi’s godmother on the south shore of Nova Scotia, the wedding started with a ceremony in what resembled an enchanted garden. The most adorable flower girls stole the show just before Kristi appeared in a stunning ballgown and made her way to James. Once the marriage was official, James and Kristi were showered with lavender and then headed to the barn on-site to enjoy the cocktail hour with friends and family, featuring charcuterie from Cocoa Pesto Catering and local beer!
The dinner and dance took place at another spot on the property in a huge white tent sprinkled with more twinkly lights than you could ever imagine! With touches of rustic decor and florals from Barefoot Blooms, the space was cozy yet sophisticated. Following a delicious buffet dinner, guests danced the night away on the dance floor to some east coast favourites!
JENNY AND JESSE

Jenny & Jesse
Jenny and Jesse got married on October 26, 2019 at the beautiful Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax. Their day started with a first look on the front steps of the Lord Nelson, followed by wedding party photos at nearby Long Lake Park, and finally the ceremony and reception. Their ceremony space was so elegant - Jenny (in a stunning Katrina Tuttle gown) and her dad walked down an aisle lined with floating candles, and she and Jesse said an intimate “I do” in front of a white satin backdrop featuring a hanging vine by Twig & Twine Floristry. Gorgeous florals, also by Twig & Twine Floristry, were a standout decor piece on every table throughout the reception as they included toffee-coloured blooms, creams and yellows. Jenny even ordered toffee-coloured candles to match. Some highlights were a choreographed line dance by the groom and his mom, and their nephew’s small basketball net that they brought in (it’s a family favourite) to use as a prop for the “kissing game.” Their wedding day was full of so many personal touches and seasonal colours making for the perfect fall celebration.
RAEANNE AND RYAN

Raeanne & Ryan
Raeanne and Ryan tied the knot on a beautiful August afternoon with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop at Oak Island Resort. Their friends travelled from near and far to celebrate and were treated to a heartfelt ceremony (featuring gorgeous arch florals by Flourish Floral Designs - pictured here) a delicious meal and a rocking dance party with DJ Jeff Knee of Atlantic Audio Pro. One of the sweetest moments of the day was when Raeanne’s sister walked Sierra, Raeanne and Ryan’s dog, down the aisle with her. The reception portion of the evening was seaside-themed with “mermaid” green as the accent colour, also displayed in the bridesmaids’ skirts. Raeanne and Ryan enjoyed some time together just the two of them at their sweetheart table, located at the front of the room, with the resort property behind them through the windows. The space was also lit with hanging edison bulbs from Glow Parties, making for a cozy and intimate atmosphere, especially once all of Raeanne and Ryan’s guests hit the dance floor.
